Search Tips - Read These First!

  • Please note that the Freight Schedule Search is Case Sensitive. A search for Allentown will have different results than a search for allentown. This searches location data only to provide a listing of all trains scheduled at that location.
  • Note that not all trains are scheduled for every location on a route; therefore, a TV train might be scheduled only at CP-102 and CP-194, but not CP-26 and CP-55 in between. Therefore, when generating a schedule for a particular area, it is a good idea to search for the most prominent location in that area. Otherwise, you can enter a second location name, which will then search for both locations entered. Browse through the schedules to find place names that might work well in a search.
  • There has been some confusion about what the Day column means. Look at a schedule, such as this one. You will see the Day column listed on the right. This shows you how many days the train runs, as many trains take several days to make their journey. This Day column is different than when a schedule says "Operates Daily" or "Operates Monday, Wednesday, and Friday". When a schedule says "Operates Daily" or "Operates Monday, Wednesday, and Friday", et cetera, this shows the days the train leaves it's originating terminal. The Day column is different, as it shows you how many days the train has been running since the day the train left it's originating terminal.

When the schedule says "Operates Daily", the train should run daily unless for some reason that train was cancelled for that day. If the schedule says the train only operates certain days of the week, and the Day column says "Day 1", then the train will run on the days listed. However, if the Day column says "Day 2", the train will run the day after each day listed. Similarly, if a train is listed "Operates Monday, Wednesday, and Friday", and the Day column says "Day 2" then you should see this train on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. If the Day column says "Day 3", you'd see that train on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
